Summer Institute Overview
The Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association offers high school
hospitality instructors the opportunity to learn more about the lodging industry through
a five-day summer institute designed to increase teacher confidence and energize the
classroom presentation of the Lodging Management Program curriculum.
Institute participants will learn about today's lodging industry form faculty at leading
hospitality management schools. In addition to lectures, demonstrations, discussions, small group
activities, and videos, participants will have the opportunity to tour lodging properties
and job shadow industry professionals for a taste of the real-world hospitality experience.
There will also be time to network with peers and share teaching tips and best practices
for introducing the world of lodging management to students.

Scholarships cover the cost of the $625.00 registration fee only.

Registration and Cancellation Policies
Payment: Beginning 30 days after registration is received and prior to May 15th, all P.O.'s must be guaranteed with a credit card to assure registration. Any P.O.'s not guaranteed may be declined and the reservation(s) cancelled. Refunds to credit cards will be made after checks for P.O.'s are received.
If paying by credit card, please contact the Educational Institute after April 30, 2010 to provide your credit card information.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be in writing and mailed to the Educational Institute. A $75 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds due to cancellations received May 1st through May 15th. A $300 administrative fee will be charged for all refunds due to cancellations received from May 16th through May 31st. Beginning June 1st, all cancellations and registrations will be non-refundable.
